Behind the Lens —

Hi! I’m Rachael, a Southern California photographer driven by personal connections and storytelling. With over ten years of experience, I like to mend my editorial and design backgrounds into wedding photography.

It is truly an honor to be able to retell your stories through art. My goal during every session is to make you look and feel your best while capturing all the special moments and little details in between. Natural and candid photos are what make my heart sing because I cherish raw emotions and the true progression of your wedding day.

When I am not behind the camera, you can find me roller skating, hiking, or picnicking in the park with friends. Currently learning how to salsa dance, would love to get some tips from you!

  • My goal is to make your day and all planning prior as easy as possible. Once you’ve decided to move forward I will send you a personalized proposal including both invoice and contract (please note, a non-refundable 30% retainer is due upon receipt.) Unfortunately, dates can not be held until the initial proposal has been completed.

    Once you have been confirmed, the planning begins! I offer one-on-one meetings, personalized timelines, in-depth guides, location scouting and more with each package. I am happy to be involved as much or as little as you need and will always be here to assist you and answer any questions along the way!

  • I got you! I never expect you to know what to do, as I have tons of prompts and ideas to help guide you. Let’s ditch the stiff awkward poses and just have fun hanging out! My goal is for you to enjoy both the process and end result of taking photos together.

  • Yes, all the time! I am currently based in San Diego and travel freely within a 100 mile radius of the region. Outside of that radius, travel fees will begin at $1 per mile and may require accommodations for 1-2 nights stay.

    For all other travel (US or international), I will provide you a flat rate fee based on current airfare prices, a two night stay near the venue, and ground transportation.

  • Yes! Starting in 2024, one roll of film will automatically be included in every wedding package. If you would like to add more just message me!

  • For weddings, you will receive ‘sneak peeks’ within one week, and your full gallery within seven-eight weeks. Portrait sessions will be sent within three weeks from the shoot date.

    Every session is different but on average you can expect about 40-60 images per hour of shooting.
